Terms of service.
These are placeholder terms while CounselOS is in private preview. Customers under contract receive a full Master Services Agreement separately. The MSA prevails over anything on this page.
1. Service
CounselOS Pty Ltd provides a software-as-a-service legal practice management platform ("the Service"). The Service is provided "as is" during the private preview, with the commitments set out in your signed MSA.
2. Subscription
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance unless an annual plan is selected. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
3. Data
Your firm's data remains your property. We host it in Sydney. We do not train AI models on your data. We do not share your data with third parties except where required to provide the Service (e.g. our AI provider for assist requests, with the personal-information protections set out in our Privacy Policy).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to facilitate criminal activity, to violate the legal professional rules of conduct in your jurisdiction, or to infringe the intellectual property of others.
5. Liability
Our liability is capped per the terms of your MSA. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
